Please read the following terms carefully. By using our website, booking a class or session, or participating in any service offered by The Pilates Place, you agree to the policies outlined below.
1. Health & Physical Fitness Disclaimer
Pilates is a physical exercise discipline. Participation in any class, session, or online program offered by The Pilates Place involves inherent physical risk. By registering for and attending any in-studio or virtual class or session, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are voluntarily participating in physical activity and assume all risk of injury.
- You have consulted with a physician or qualified healthcare provider if you have any existing injuries, medical conditions, or physical limitations.
- You are responsible for performing only the exercises and movements that are appropriate and safe for your individual body and condition.
- The Pilates Place and its instructors are not liable for any injury, illness, or adverse outcome resulting from participation in classes or sessions.
Modifications and variations are routinely offered by our instructors. If you have specific physical concerns or limitations, please inform your instructor before class begins.
2. Class Registration & Booking
Pre-registration is required for all in-studio Reformer/Equipment classes and all Virtual Mat classes. Walk-ins may be accommodated for in-studio Mat classes when space allows, though pre-registration is strongly recommended.
All Private, Duet, and PT Pilates sessions must be booked by calling the studio directly or by coordinating with your instructor. These sessions cannot be booked online.
Instructor permission is required before attending In-Studio Reformer/Equipment group classes. Completion of the Beginner’s Reformer Package or a private session is a prerequisite for group reformer participation, for your safety and the safety of other students.
By creating an account through our Mindbody Online portal, you agree to the terms of service of that platform in addition to these policies.
3. Cancellation Policy
A 24-hour cancellation policy applies to all in-studio sessions, including group classes. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 24 hours in advance to avoid forfeiture of that session from your package.
For virtual classes, please cancel online or contact the studio as early as possible so that your spot can be made available to others.
We understand that life happens. If you have an emergency or extenuating circumstance, please contact us directly at (530) 477-5167 and we will do our best to accommodate you.
4. Pricing, Packages & Expiration
All current pricing is listed on our Pricing page. Prices are subject to change at any time without advance notice.
Package expiration terms are as follows:
- All 4-session class packs must be used within 6 weeks of purchase.
- All 8-session class packs must be used within 10 weeks of purchase.
- All one-on-one and duet session series must be used within 3 months of purchase.
Unused sessions that expire outside of these timeframes are forfeited and are not eligible for refund or extension except at the sole discretion of studio management.
Specials and promotional pricing do not apply to sessions with Roxanna unless explicitly stated.
Beginner Package private sessions are not applicable to sessions with Roxanna.
5. Payments & Refunds
Payment is accepted online through our Mindbody Online portal or by arrangement with the studio. By submitting payment, you authorize The Pilates Place to charge the stated amount for the selected service or package.
All sales are final. Refunds are not issued for unused sessions within a package except in documented cases of injury or medical necessity, and only at the discretion of studio management. Please contact us directly if you have a concern about a charge.
6. Virtual & Online Classes
Online Mat classes are delivered via Zoom. Participation in virtual classes is subject to the same pricing, registration, and cancellation policies as in-studio classes.
By joining a virtual class, you acknowledge that:
- You are responsible for ensuring your workout environment is safe, clear of hazards, and appropriate for physical exercise.
- You are responsible for your own well-being and must only perform movements that are appropriate for your fitness level and physical condition.
- Household members may participate in a single registered class at no additional charge.
- Video and audio from virtual sessions may not be recorded, shared, or distributed without express written permission from The Pilates Place.
Technical difficulties such as internet outages or device issues are the responsibility of the participant and do not entitle the participant to a refund or session credit.
7. Studio Conduct & Community Standards
The Pilates Place is a welcoming, inclusive space. We ask all clients and guests to treat fellow students, instructors, and staff with courtesy and respect.
- Please arrive on time. Late arrivals may not be admitted to class at the instructor’s discretion.
- Please silence mobile devices before class begins.
- Appropriate athletic attire is required. Bare feet or grip socks are recommended for Pilates practice.
- The Pilates Place reserves the right to refuse service to anyone whose conduct is disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful to others.
